A substantial piece of solid English Oak that bridges the gap between a heavy-duty kitchen workhorse and a striking serve-and-display board. Handmade in a Yorkshire studio, each board is cut to preserve the natural live edge — the organic, wavy contour of the tree — so no two boards are ever the same.

At 500mm × 300mm and 40–45mm thick, there is serious workspace here. Four non-slip rubber feet keep it firmly in place during prep. Finished with 100% natural food-grade mineral oil and beeswax — no toxic glues, no formaldehyde, no microplastics. Every surface that touches your food is safe.

Available as standard or with laser engraving (+£20) for a personalised finish. Engravings are positioned in the top right corner to keep the main prep area clear. Please allow 4–5 days for making before dispatch.

  • 100% solid English Oak — single piece, no veneers or hidden adhesives
  • Natural live edge profile — every board is unique
  • Dimensions: 500mm × 300mm | 40–45mm thick
  • Food-safe finish: natural mineral oil and beeswax

Personalised option (+£20): Laser-engraved in the top right corner. We engrave exactly as written — please check spelling carefully. Personalised boards are non-refundable unless faulty.

Please note: Wood is a natural material. Grain patterns, knots and slight variations are a feature of the piece, not a defect. All timber is responsibly sourced from trusted UK suppliers.

Perfect gift

Bought for my partner's birthday. He's a keen cook and practically cried when he opened it. The live edge really does look dramatic in person. Chunky and sturdy.

Beautiful but arrived very dry

The board itself is clearly high quality and the live edge is lovely. Mine arrived quite dried out and had a hairline crack forming along one edge. Oiling sorted it and it looks wonderful now, but it needed attention before use. A bit more care in transit or pre-oiling before dispatch would help.

Worth every penny

I've been eyeing live edge boards for years and finally treated myself. The natural edge is genuinely beautiful – it sits on the counter and people always comment on it. Feels incredibly solid. Already oiled it once and the grain really comes alive.

Stunning board, just look after it

Arrived well packaged and the board itself is lovely – rustic but refined at the same time. One small note: make sure you oil it before use as it arrived slightly dry. Once done it looks absolutely magnificent.

Gorgeous board, heavy to move

The live edge is everything you'd hope for – wild, characterful, completely unique. It's also quite a serious weight, which I didn't fully anticipate. For chopping it's perfect; just think about where it lives permanently.
